Effective Ways to Build a Solid Online Presence for your Brand

The world is continuously evolving, and fast. It is important that you, as business owners do so too. With technology advancing every day, it is important to take your business online and to create a strong brand presence.

If you’re not very tech-savvy, creating an online presence for your brand can be hard and very confusing. With the variety of different platform’s and profiles online ready to select and build, finding out which ones will engage your target audience, can be very challenging.

As well as this, there are numerous areas that you probably have never heard of before, from SEO to PPC and many other abbreviations you have no idea what they stand for. However, once you gain a little understanding into the online world, building your online presence can be a lot less overwhelming and frustrating. So, lets break down a few steps to help kick start your online evolution!

To start, you will need to decide on your brands goals and objectives; what you want to achieve from your online marketing strategy, as well as what goals you are currently reaching. This step will help steer you into the right direction and help you understand the next step of achieving an effective online presence: your target audience.

Are they the same as your existing store/ business? Where are they located? Who are you currently targeting? These are questions you will need to ask yourself in order to know what kind of content you will need to be posting and on what platforms. Having an in-depth knowledge of what your target market is will help you define how to approach and appeal to them.

Along with a clear market definition you need keywords that relate to that market. What do your target market search for and how do they search for it? Apply your keywords to your marketing strategy and website content to gain more brand awareness and traffic to your website. Unfortunately, without this essential step, your online presence will remain stagnate.

There are many different social media platforms to choose from. I often find that Twitter and LinkedIn are more suitable to creating conversation around topics in your industry, Instagram for creating engagement with your brand and Facebook for creating general brand awareness. All the platforms, not to forget other important ones such as YouTube, Pinterest, Tik Tok etc, are used for different objectives, depending on what your business goals are.

Consistent branding throughout all your chosen platforms is key to creating a recognisable business, as well as establishing a professional look for the sites. For this, it is important to choose a small selection of colours, fonts and styles to present across the social platforms and your website. Furthermore, photographs, artwork and graphics your share will need to stay consistent with your branding.

It is important to start establishing yourself as a business online as soon as possible. Contact The Social Combo if you need help building a strong and effective Online Presence.
